FAQ
-
Athletes from any country and any Streetlifting organisation — tested or untested are welcome, provided they meet the standards of their chosen division. You can continue competing in your usual Streetlifting organisation while taking part in ours — there are no conflicts or exclusivity. Qualification is simple: meet the required RIS (Division 3 and above) and you’re eligible.
-
If this is your first ever competition and you don’t yet hold an official RIS, your competitive journey with us begins in Division 3.
-
All Official Streetlifting competitions are run under the Official Streetlifting Rulebook, which defines the competition format, lift standards, judging criteria, divisions, and ranking system used. View the OSL Rulebook v1.0
-
Official Streetlifting recognises all-time National and World Records. These represent the biggest lifts ever achieved in sanctioned competition globally, not limited to Official Streetlifting events.
-
Yes. Records can be set at divisional competitions, provided the lift qualifies as an all-time National or World Record. Official Streetlifting recognises only all-time records, regardless of the event level.
-
OSL divisions are determined by RIS score. This allows athletes to compete against others of a similar performance level rather than only by bodyweight. Use the RIS calculator to find your division instantly.
From Grassroots to Global Champions
At Official Streetlifting, every lifter has a pathway.
We’ve built a structured system — from entry level through to elite — using divisions based on RIS.
As you improve, you move through the system.
