OSL CORE CONCEPT

For ALL4 competition:

OSL is built on two equally important performance measures:

  • RIS: Used for athlete divisional placement, promotion, event titles and season championship titles

  • Total: Used for athlete divisional rankings, all-time rankings, all-time national and world records

RIS (Relative Index of Streetlifting) allows fair comparison across body weights within the same gender (https://warisradji.com/ris/).

Total remains at the foundation of rankings, records, and titles.

Athlete progression: Improve both your total and RIS to climb divisional rankings and win championship titles.

Athletes achieving a RIS score of ≥104.00 (female) or ≥100.6 (male) earn the sport’s highest distinction: Elite status, however still compete within the Premier division.

Important Information

RIS is used to:

  • Place the athlete in the correct division

  • Determine promotion between divisions. Surpassing the threshold moves an athlete to the next division.

This ensures fair competition across all ability levels from your very first competition.

Athletes with an official RIS from any OSL recognised competition

  • Athletes are placed in the correct division immediately.

  • Can compete at any OSL event or OSL recognised event throughout the season.

Athletes Without an official RIS

  • Begin in Division 3.

Can’t Attend an OSL Event? – OSL Online Pathway

Athletes who are unable to attend an OSL event may submit verified results from any OSL-recognised streetlifting competition.

While rule sets may differ between organisations, submitted results are accepted for pathway entry, allowing the athlete to enter the appropriate divisional rankings.

Please note that all OSL competitions are contested exclusively under OSL rules.

Submitting a verified result allows an athlete of any nationality to enter the OSL pathway, be placed into the appropriate division, and become eligible for season championship titles within their division.

Step Two – Compete & Progress

Athletes compete across OSL and OSL-recognised competitions each season, with each season running annually from January to December (divisional rankings resetting each season).

At Each Event:

  • Focus on improving your total, which determines your divisional ranking.

  • Focus on achieving your best RIS score, this determines the winner of that specific OSL event title within your division

Across the season:

  • Improve your total to climb divisional rankings and earn the title of the OSL season champion within your division

  • Improve your RIS to earn promotion to the next division

  • Your best total of the season within your division and weight class determines end of season championship placement

  • Your best RIS score of the season within your division determines end of season overall championship placement

  • Achieve new all-time national or world records in your weight class — at any OSL event or any other OSL recognised streetlifting competition

Every OSL recognised competition is an opportunity to progress, qualify, and build your long-term legacy.

Step Three – Season Divisional Rankings & Championships

Season championship titles are determined at the end of each season (January–December) based on OSL divisional rankings.

Divisional rankings are ordered by total within each weight class. Athletes must compete in the correct division, as determined by their RIS score, for their results to be valid.

At the end of the season:

  • Within each division and weight class, rankings are finalised based on total

  • The top-ranked athlete in each category is crowned Season Champion, with podium positions awarded to the top three

In addition, an Absolute Season Champion is awarded in each division based on the highest RIS score, regardless of weight class.

Every OSL and OSL-recognised competition contributes to your ranking, providing ongoing opportunities throughout the season to improve your total and RIS.

OSL Titles & Championship Structure

OSL features multiple championship titles, rewarding both competition performance and season-long progression.

  • At every OSL competition, athletes compete within their division regardless of bodyweight.

The athlete with the highest RIS score in each division is crowned:

    • OSL [Event] - [Division] Champion (e.g. OSL 1 - Division 2 Champion)

    • This title is specific to that individual OSL event.

This title applies exclusively to in-person OSL competitions and is not applicable to athletes competing via the OSL Online Pathway.

  • Across the full season (January–December), athletes are ranked by total within their division and weight class.

At the end of the season:

    • 🥇 1st place: OSL [Division] - Season Champion (e.g. OSL Division 2 - Season Champion)

    • 🥈 2nd place: Runner-Up

    • 🥉 3rd place: Third Place

Rankings include results from both OSL events and OSL online pathway athletes via OSL-recognised competitions.

  • At the end of each season, one athlete per division is crowned:

    • OSL [Division] - Absolute Season Champion - (e.g. OSL Division 2 - Absolute Season Champion)

This title is awarded to the athlete with the highest RIS score across the entire division, regardless of weight class.

This represents the highest-performing athlete in the division for that season.

Rankings include results from both OSL events and OSL online pathway athletes via OSL-recognised competitions.
