OSL CORE CONCEPT

For ALL4 competition:

OSL is built on two equally important performance measures:

  • RIS: Used for athlete divisional placement and promotion

  • Total: Used for athlete divisional rankings, all-time rankings, all-time national and world records and championship titles

RIS (Relative Index of Streetlifting) allows fair comparison across body weights within the same gender (https://warisradji.com/ris/).

Total remains at the foundation of rankings, records, and titles.

Athlete progression: Improve both your total and RIS to climb divisional rankings and qualify for championships.

Athletes achieving a RIS score of ≥104.00 (female) or ≥100.6 (male) earn the sport’s highest distinction: Elite status, however still compete within the Premier division.

Important Information

RIS is used to:

  • Place the athlete in the correct division

  • Determine promotion between divisions. Surpassing the threshold moves an athlete to the next division.

This ensures fair competition across all ability levels from your very first competition.

Athletes with an official RIS

  • Athletes are placed in the correct division immediately.

  • Can compete at any OSL event or OSL recognised event throughout the season.

Athletes Without an official RIS

  • Begin in Division 3.

Can’t Attend an OSL Event?

Athletes who are unable to attend an OSL event may submit verified results from any OSL-recognised streetlifting competition.

While rule sets may differ between organisations, submitted results are accepted for pathway entry. All OSL Championship events are contested exclusively under OSL rules.

Submitting a verified result allows an athlete of any nationality to enter the OSL pathway, be placed into the appropriate division, and become eligible for championship qualification, provided all criteria are met.

Step Two – Compete & Progress

Athletes compete across OSL and OSL-recognised competitions each season, with divisional rankings resetting annually.

At Each Event:

  • Focus on improving your total, which determines your divisional ranking.

Across the season:

  • Improve your total to climb divisional rankings and earn championship eligibility

  • Improve your RIS to earn promotion to the next division

  • Your best total of the season within your division and weight class determines championship qualification

  • Achieve new all-time national or world records in your weight class — at any OSL event or any other OSL recognised streetlifting competition

Every OSL recognised competition is an opportunity to progress, qualify, and build your long-term legacy.

Step Three – Qualify for OSL Championships

Championship qualification is based on your best total within your weight class, while competing in your correct division.

  • Only athletes in the appropriate division (as determined by RIS) are eligible

  • Within each weight class, the top 5 totals in each division earn invitations to Championships

  • Your RIS ensures you are in the right division, but it does not determine who qualifies

Every OSL recognised competition is an opportunity to improve your total and secure championship eligibility.
